Supakorn Congsomjit, an official from the Thai Prime Minister's Office, stated that after Tesla, the American electric car manufacturer, completed its inspection in the country at the end of last year, they are currently in discussions with the local government to establish production facilities. He mentioned that the country will provide Tesla with 100% green energy, allowing the company to manufacture electric cars or batteries locally. Thailand is the largest automobile producer and exporter in Southeast Asia, aiming to become a major hub for electric vehicle production in the region. The country has already secured a commitment of $1.44 billion in investment from Chinese electric car manufacturers.
