
"Performance" Burger King's parent company Restaurant Brands last quarter's revenue slightly exceeded expectations, with international same-store sales increasing by 6.5%
Restaurant Brands (QSR.US), the parent company of Burger King and Tim Hortons, announced that its net profit for the third quarter increased by 25% year-on-year to USD 315 million, with adjusted earnings per share of USD 1.03, slightly above the market expectation of USD 1; revenue rose by 6.9% to USD 2.45 billion, also exceeding expectations.
During the quarter, overall same-store sales increased by 4%, with international markets rising by 6.5%, significantly higher than the expected increase of 4.4%. By brand, the fried chicken chain Popeyes reported a same-store sales decline of 2.4%, making it the only business under the group to experience a drop in same-store sales
