On November 2nd, the Public Security Bureau of Gucheng District, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, reported that the traffic management team recently held a meeting to discuss the operational management of shared electric bicycles. The meeting involved concentrated discussions with the heads of three shared bicycle operating companies: Hello, Lijiang Travel, and Meituan, directly addressing the prominent issues currently existing in the shared electric bicycle sector, clarifying rectification requirements, reinforcing the primary responsibility of the companies, and fostering a collaborative effort between the police and enterprises. During the meeting, the traffic management team reported recent violations in the area, including improper parking of shared electric bicycles, riders not wearing safety helmets, multiple riders on one bike, and riding without a license plate. They conducted an in-depth analysis of the potential hazards these issues pose to road traffic safety, emphasizing the importance and urgency of the operating companies fulfilling their primary responsibilities.
