The Japanese and U.S. governments announced in the evening of the 28th that companies from both countries will invest up to a total of $400 billion (approximately ¥60 trillion) in U.S. projects, serving as a market catalyst.

According to a joint fact sheet on Japan-U.S. investment released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and others, in energy-related projects, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and IHI are considering involvement in Westinghouse Electric's next-generation nuclear power plant construction project worth up to $100 billion, while SoftBank Group will participate in the design, operation, and development of large-scale power infrastructure. For AI infrastructure enhancement, companies such as $Hyatt Hotels(H.US)itachi (6501.JP)$, $Macys(M.US)acys(M.US)itsubishi Electric (6503.JP)$, $Ford Motor(F.US)ujikura (5803.JP)$, $TDK (6762.JP)$, $Macys(M.US)acys(M.US)urata Manufacturing (6981.JP)$, and $Panasonic Holdings (6752.JP)$ have been confirmed to participate.
