《业绩》American Eagle 次财季盈收胜预期 股价盘後飙升 22%
Clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters (AEO.US) announced that for the second fiscal quarter ending August 2, net profit slightly increased year-on-year to $77.6 million, with earnings per share of $0.45, far exceeding the expected $0.21; revenue slightly fell to $1.28 billion but still beat expectations. The stock price surged over 22% in after-hours trading.
The company reissued its full-year performance guidance that was withdrawn earlier this year, expecting same-store sales to remain essentially flat, better than the market's expected decline of 0.2%; due to tariff impacts, full-year revenue is now expected to be between $255 million and $265 million, lower than the previous expectation of $360 million to $375 million
